Some women may enjoy traveling in 2023. They might take the whole family, or they might strike out on their own. This year, solo travel might appeal to some women, so let’s discuss why that’s the case.
1. Just Graduated from College
Maybe you’ll become a college graduate in 2023. If so, you might feel like you have a lot coming up. You should probably find a job, and hopefully, you can use that degree you earned.
Perhaps you feel like you should take a little time before you join the working world, though. If you have some money, maybe you might enjoy an inexpensive journey on your own. If you’re unattached, you’ll probably love it.
You can find some historic neighborhoods to explore in New York City. Maybe you’ll check out LA and walk along Hollywood Boulevard, meeting the costumed characters. Perhaps Las Vegas or New Orleans appeal.
You can head overseas as well. Maybe you’ll visit London, Paris, Rome, or Dublin. That all depends on how much money you have and how adventurous you feel.
2. Experienced a Breakup
Maybe you’ve just experienced a breakup. Perhaps you divorced someone, and now, you’re on your own. Maybe you’re single for the first time in many years.
If so, you should take some time and decide what you’ll do next. Travel can help you do that. You can go somewhere you’ve never been before.
There, you can think about the past and what the future might hold. Looking out at the city lights or an unfamiliar sunset, you might understand that you have possibilities open now that you didn’t have before. Maybe you feel some sorrow, but you might feel some joy as well.
3. Just Got/Lost Job
Maybe your work situation just changed. Perhaps you applied and got a new job that you feel will use your skills better than any position you held previously. You might also lose a job through company downsizing. Maybe you left on your own because you felt that your boss didn’t appreciate you.
If your work situation changes, you might travel if you can afford it. You can tell your new job you need a few weeks until you start. If you just lost a job, you can begin hunting earnestly when you return instead.
4. Gone through Major Life Event
Maybe you experienced some other major life event. Maybe you got sober this year. Perhaps you lost a loved one, and you’re grieving. Some women travel after losing a beloved pet or finding a job in a new city.
If you have the money and the time, you can hit the road this year. A solo female traveler should always stay safe and avoid dangerous situations, but if you do that, there’s no reason why you should not have a great time. When you get back, you can resume your life.
